Anyone out there tried the Air Rider air cushion? I am thinking of one for long tours on my GT. As we all know, the standard and even Powerparts seats are less than perfect for long days in the saddle. The new Air Rider has a valve that allows inflation / deflation whilst on the bike using one hand, which looks like a smart feature.

I have measured the GT seat and am thinking of getting a Small size Air Rider pad.

Any opinions out there (other than "wimp"!)?

I used the Airhawk on my Tuono for an outback tour. They work great.

Cheers mate. Air Rider is fairly new and looks like a new direct competitor to Airhawk. Similar pricing and pad function plus a new valve that looks handy.

Tourtecs make one also for half the price of the Airhawk, dunno if its half as good but gets decent write ups (y)

Airhawk for me, too.
I bought the more expensive neoprene version rather than the plastic, and it's been in use for about 15 years now, with no problems.
Once I got used to putting just a little bit of air into it (much less than is intuitive) I got on great with it.
