Did my first enduro day on sat at the Mick Extance off road school on sat, was great (another thread to follow) but my bike was doing my box in with its getting neutral... or not getting neutral!

Being stuck in a que mean I was having to let it stall and try to get neutral or wait till we were moving again and kick it in gear with the clutch in. Was really notchy from first to second when it was hot and neutral a bugger someitmes when it was not running, which made it a bugger when stuck on big hills.

Any clues on what causes this other than old age? Bike is an 02 KTM 200 EXC 2T with ATF (changed regularly) in the gearbox.

Possibly too much oil in the gearbox. To get neutral, blip the throttle and snick it up into Neutral.
On my bike,i dont put it in neutral except to kick it up,all other times i am either going forwards or i turn off the engine.
