After nearly 11K miles the front pads are getting down and will need replacing before the weather really warms up, the oem Brembo pads are okay but I wouldn't say they are anything special especially when you consider the price compared to the likes of EBC, SBS and Bendix.
I have used EBC before and been happy but I like to try new things, never used Continental tyres on a bike before so I have just put a pair of RA3's (Road Attack 3) on the GT.
I've been put off the Bendix MRR (Fast road / Track) as some reviews say they get mushy after they have been used in wet conditions, my mini-tour of Scotland and the lakes was about 50% wet weather riding, the Avon ultra sports don't deal with that very well with the 1290 engine hammering torque at them.
Would the SBS HS street compound be better than the fast road and track RS?
I would describe my riding as fast/smooth with mad moments, on twisty roads that I know well I have been known to hunt sports bikes on the big KTM.
Any advice or other recommendations?
