Hey guys.

I recently bought a 990 adventure, but the idling is very high, 4000rpm.
Driving at roughly 100km\h in 6th gear at 6000rpm.
Any ideas what the issue might be?
It seems that the canister has been removed but with no aftermarket parts added.

TPS almost certainly. If you stop it and restart without moving the throttle, is it ok until you move the throttle?
Have you done the 15 minute idle reset?
Google is your friend. Lots on it, try KTM how.
Good luck.
If you search my threads started, I had the same issue..ish...whilst filtering through traffic.

Is there a screw missing as in this picture?
This bike had a very high tickover and wouldn’t idle for more than a few mins without stalling.

Behind the RH tank.

hey guy.
From the get-go its high at 4k
Will have a look at the hole this afternoon.
just did the 15min idle move but still no change in idling.
Will take it in to the city and have the diagnostics checked, my thoughts were also TPS issue.
Thanks for the reply though, much appreciated

There’s also the throttle body balancing pipes which might have been left unplugged.
TPS can be set quite easily with TuneEcu, video on YouTube.
But if there’s an air leak it won’t help.
