HI
The 2008 and 2009 model 150's are the same cc (144)
They both came with twin ring pistons. The 2008 and 2009 had different pistons and the rings are not interchangable (rings are a different shape)
I think that the 2008 piston + rings have been superceded and can't be bought anymore.
So if you have a 2008 piston you will need a new 2009 piston kit which is expensive.

Take the piston down to ktm shop and they should be able to give you the right rings as its due some.
I ususally change mine at 25hrs and new piston after 50 hrs.
