I searched but couldn't find a single post on jetting, weird

What is the current recommendation for jetting, 300 non balancer shaft engine (specifically a 2013)
UK winter, little to no altitude

Seen a lot of recommendations for 38, NECJ-3 168

Also seen recommendations for NECW ammongst others

Currently on 40 JDred-5 170, and think it could probably be better

TIA

Where do you think it could be better?

Generally, people use the Suzuki needles to calm down the bottom/mid transition but it does stifle the top end a lot. Other wise it's generally the N8RG/H needles used.

Generally I think it runs pretty well, my main complaint is actually that I always burn less fuel than my mate also with a 300 even though we are riding together at the same speed, but could just be riding style and gear selection, and seeing as fuel means oil...

Just wanted to try some alternatives but would need to order bits, as you don't know until you try...

Definitely have to try. You might stumble across a perfect setting for you. It’ll be that or the start of a huge needle and brass collection!

It’s great having a range of needles and jets though. There’s lots of “right” combinations available to you. One will stand out as best for you.

Best thread in ages! Well done that man. 💪💪💪
