Hi,

I looked every video and post on this theme and I was sure that i know how to do that.
But of course when i come to garage and start work on my bike, it wasn't that easy like on the videos. This happens often :-D
I find this video:
He doing it like the most people recommend to do it.
I use straw and it work me exactly like on video. When piston was high first time, it just put the straw higher, then straw go down and second time the straw was fired from cylinder exactly like on video.

1:42 on video he move the wheel little bit and straw moving. That happening to me too. But then he said the valves moving just little bit. (1:47 on video) but my valves dont move at all. What do you thing? Have i the right TDC?
I have EXC 525 year 2005.
This is my first valve adjustment, but I want to learn it because it has to be done often on this bike.

Thanks for your answers :)

Remove the valve adjustment caps and watch the inlet valves. The crank cycle after the inlet valves have depressed is the correct TDC.

What scuff said… you’ll also know if you do it 180deg out when the bike doesn’t start.
