Hi, I gave the bike a good wash last week & first time ever lay it on its side to wash it, anyway today I turned the fuel on & it is absolutely pissing fuel out of the overflow pipe don’t know if it connected to laying the bike on it’s side but any help would be fantastic. Going forward fuck washing my bike.

Or remove the fuel valve and clean the rubber tip. It can get a crust/varnish on it. The tapping the float bowl trick with a full tank and fuel turned on usually sorts it. Use a piece of softwood against the float bowl so you don’t mark it.

Update.
1. tried tapping first but no luck
2. Removed carb, float was moving freely BUT inside the carb was well overdue a clean with carb cleaner
3. noticed that one of the vent hoses was blocked solid

Put carb back on bike started first kick & the fuel has stopped pissing out.

MANY THANKS gents for your help 👍
