The lock on my 990 adventure is jammed. The key would not go into ignition at all. I sprayed in some WD40 and managed to get the key in. The bike will start but there is some resistance removing the key. I've not tried to use any force yet because I want to be able to ride the bike home.

It may be that somebody has tampered with the lock. Has anybody else experienced this?

Sounds like somebody tried to force something into the ignition.
Mine was almost stolen and they damaged mine so badly I could not start
it and had to replace ignition.

How much did that cost?

Cheers,

Alex
I just replaced the barrel for less than £50 I think.
If I wanted a whole new lock set it would have been way over £100.
Bit of a pain having a different key for fuel caps and ignition but not too bad.
I was feeling skint the week it happened and went for the cheaper option.:D

KTM Lock

Clem, where did you get your replacement barrel from? was it a UK supplier? I have cunninglu=y managed to loose a set of keys (house, bike, panniers) bigger than a football. :(

Regards,

Ian
