Hi guys just joined ur site as I'm looking to buy a new duke 125, I haven't signed the finance yet as I've since found out that the top speed is (in my opinion ) pretty slow
I.e. Not even 70mph. So what I would like to know is is there a deristricted exhaust available can the top end. Be improved by changing it and changing the front an rear sprockets etc if so what's the best I can expect from it 90+?? Or shall look for something else. I do love the look of tho so I'd be gutted if I'm on a hiding to nothing.

My advice would be do not have a duke 125 especially a new one on finance, these things are nothing but trouble and the dealers will fob you off with warranty claims in a massive way it is the ktm/ Pierer group way I am afraid, it might look nice in the fancy showroom and the salesman spouting off about how good they are and never have any problems but you will soon regret it I know a lad who had one and loads of people have trouble with them.

My advice would be book to do your test using a hired training school bike to get to the next level then buy a good used bike with the help of a decent local independent bike mechanic who will service/repair the bike for you if you can not do it yourself.
