Information on CONTINENTAL Tyre Exchange Program

CONTINENTAL the tyre manufacturer started a voluntary tyre exchange program on August 11th, covering around 170,000 motorcycle tyres of the sizes 120/70 ZR 17 and 120/70 R 17. According to “CONTINENTAL” market feedback indicates that a very small number of these tyres have exhibited a condition in the tread and/or belt which may lead to separation and possible air loss.
The exchange program is being initiated by CONTINENTAL to avoid any potential risk to road-users resulting from the use of a potentially faulty tyre. The affected tyres were manufactured between 2007 and 2014 and were primarily sold to replacement customers. It is also possible, however, that tyres mounted as original equipment are affected by this program.

If you could be affected by this please organise the exchange with your nearest CONTINENTAL dealer free of charge.

Further information such as the exact identification of the tyre, CONTINENTAL contact information and an FAQ list can be found on the CONTINENTAL homepage:

The exchange is only performed via the CONTINENTAL dealer network.
