The June KTM of the Month contest is live, but with some much needed updates. Please read carefully below, as voting especially, has changed.

  • You no longer vote via LIKES. The last week of each month going forward, a poll will be added to the thread with all the entries and you will have 7 days (or 5, depending on how quick I am to get the poll up and how well the thread is moving) to cast your vote. This is a more traditional way of running things and based on feedback, will be a welcome change.
  • You must own the submitted bike.
  • You can enter 3-5 pics of your bike. I would strongly suggest submitting pics with no people in it (dogs are fine) or at the least, crop them out of it.
  • Feel free to give a little backstory on your bike. Whether that be the modifications it has, how you came to own it, or just a fun story. Don't be afraid to share your bike's story.
  • If you have won in a previous month, you can no longer enter for the rest of the year. However, if you have a second bike that meets the above criteria, you can enter that.
The winner at the end of the month will win a free 1 Year Premium Membership for the forum and a custom flair under their username. If the winner is already a premium member, their subscription will be extended an additional year.

Winners will be featured on the sites gallery, found here.

Congrats to May's KTM of the Month winner, @mudhog_40 !

Two things.

The poll will go live on the 24th.
This is the final month without a theme. Starting in July, I will be rolling out themes to spice up the contest.

I’m a Johnny Come Lately to biking. Passed my first bike test at age 70 and went straight for the biggest I could handle. Tried Triumph, BMW and Ducati but I’ve always had a bit of a fetish for orange things, but saw KTM’s as a little quirky and ‘specialist’. Then I spotted a Gen 1 SDR SE and thought it jaw dropping sexy! So test rode a Gen 3 but it was a tad too pitched forward. Then I found this beautiful thing at a Ducati dealer with nominal mileage. It’s an ‘18 plate SDR with stacks of extras including an awesome sounding AR end can. My OCD means a thorough clean every ride and wherever I stop, it gets admiring glances and comments. I don’t ride anything close to it’s fearsome power, but then who buys a Ferrari just to top 200mph??? Five years on from passing Mod 2 it’s the best recreation ever - and this “beast” is the best way to do it - ever!!!

Here's my 'White' 2009 RC8 which I've owned for 4 years. Decals designed by me on MotoCal. (I think I was a bit drunk tho 😄)
The usual shorty levers and ludicrous lever guards for track days.
A Sato shift brace and the RSRMoto clear clutch cover.

Remembered to take some pics on a ride to Bexhill today.

Nice bike.
As I saw the photos I thought it was Bexhill. Had a seafront walk with the geriatrics this morning while my car was being MOT’d
