KTM 1050 - Dealing with the heat

Hello,

I'm trying to deal with the much heat I receive in my chins (also some in the seat, but mostly in the chins). Even more now that we have here ambient temperatures from 35ºC till 40ºC...

I already saw several posts about this for the 1190 and 1190 R. But almost nothing for the 1050...

Lets see if you can help me:

- I saw some people telling that will apply the Air Deflector Fan (60308056000) to the KTM 1050. But from what I see here (Spare Parts Finder), this one already exists in the 2015 models... Than is needed or not?

- I also saw some people telling that will install in their 1190 the insulated rear header - 60405008000 MANIFOLD W. INTEG. INSULATION. Something that only comes now with the 1290 SA.
This also will fit in the 1150 ?

what more from this list ?? :

1. Air Deflector Kit Tank (60308052044)
2. Air Deflector Kit Seat (60308053144)
3. Screw For Plastic (0081050181) * 2

Anything else?

THANKS!
Duarte S.

I think most of the success with heat is getting rid of the CAT, and then using the side deflectors (the seat ones). Some bikes must run hotter than others, as I've never really had an issue with mine. Then again I was used to my SE which was brutally hot. I only really notice the heat when riding in shorts around town.

I've got rid of the cat on mine and it works to a degree. Sometimes the heat doesn't bother me at all and other times I can feel it. It's like the bike is a woman and keeps changing it's mind.

I haven't tried the heat deflectors even though they're cheap so may give them a try and have also thought about the 1290 insulated rear pipe. The heat issue isn't bad enough to make me desperate but I may try the other options.
