I've got a 2017 125 XCW, I made a thread recently about jetting and used this setup from Al Ranger -

500 main
42.5 pilot
R8 needle jet
Stock needle clip 2
Air screw 2 and a quarter out
Hgs full pipe

I was looking for the 2018 manual to see how KTM jetted the 2018 XCW but it seems both the 2017 and 2018 are jetted poorly with the Mikuni carbs.

Another poster also recommended trying a 5.75 slide from a Yamaha 125 as the standard KTM is 4.0 so it is richer.

You could also try a different needle from Edmonson Racing. All the info I got from others is here -

Lastly, probably the best option but also most expensive is to get a Lectron carb, setup from the dealer and very easy to use with no jets!

There was also an official bulletin from KTM/Husky a while back about altering the carbs on the 2017 models. I'm not 100% sure if this included the 125 but there's some info here too -

Hope that helps!
