Hi all new to the group just wondered if anyone knows the seal size needed for the countershaft seal for a 2001 250 exc I got the 32/42/7 and it seems way to big many thanks james

Have you offered it up, That is the size listed,

I've measured the seal I was sent and it's a 32/45/7 so I'll get on to them when there next open and hope that's all it is 👍

Check the condition of the shaft spacer and the o ring that sits behind it (part numbers 20 and 21 on the fiche). If they are worn your new seal will soon get wrecked by the spacer and the o ring will leak oil down the shaft splines.

I removed the seal + spacer gave them a clean it cured the leak on my bike another critical thing to check is chain slack a chain adjusted to tight will cause a leak.

The last kit I had from KTM had the o rings, collar and seal so you simply replace the lot.
