2016 was the last of the kickstarts

 

Yes. The bike was first reg September 2015. But for the life of me I can’t remember if it was a left over model from that year or a 2016 bike. The kickstart thing was just what a mate told me. I couldn’t use a kicker on a 500 anyway at my time of life!
Do you know an easy way to tell a 2015 from a 2016?

Can’t believe this. Over 600 views and no one wants a well priced prestige KTM from back in the day of simple, reliable well made machines that has done very little work. Comes with a host of extras.
The economy is clearly worse than I thought! 😩

 

It's screwed. Over here it's a disaster. Nothing is selling. Not a single house in my town has sold this year. My escape plans aren't looking good, so I'm resigning myself to summers here and winters in the tropics.

I was also thinking recently that it doesn't matter how well a bike is looked after. People just look at its date of birth and mileage. You could have a 2015 bike that's perfect and 95% of the market wouldn't understand, and expect it to be priced the same as a 10 year old piece of shit.

I'd keep it and wait for the Antiques Roadshow market to come around. Or a sudden buzz about EXC 500s on TikTok.

As regards milage, it’s barely run in. Just had an old duffer on it, steady riding and that. I could na thrash a 500 at my age. It’s much quicker than my brain these days!

I just watched a Yamaha it200 that would of been 5k during COVID , starting bid was £2750 looked half tidy , didn't get a bid

 

I've had a RIB for sale on the local second hand site for a month. All I get is cunts offering half price for an easy transaction. I tell them I'd rather burn it. With them in it. I don't get any counter offers.

Someone buy this thing quick before I end up with two 500s. I'm struggling with a totally irrational desire.

 

There will be mariticide if I buy this, and yet I am considering it strongly! I looked for so long for a nice one, and then as soon as I buy a 450 I find this!

 

I like the price trajectory. I'll wait until it is advertised for £500 including delivery, a full tank of petrol, luggage set and a year's insurance thrown in.
