Hi everyone,
Firstly, my name is Rob and I'm from the Netherlands. I assume, just like in here, you guys have the A2 license bs too. So I thought I should ask around a bit here.
My KTM dealer said to me that the 690 SMCR are out of production, so he struggled to get one for me. This to me, sounded a bit weird.. why would they stop the 2016 production, 5 months after they released the 2016 model? Ok... nvm.
So they are gonna put the A2 mapping on there. Plus the Akra silencer.
I have 2 questions:
1. Is the engine going to run lean with this mapping icw the akra silencer?
2. I know if you ride the bike (A2) without the proper license(A), you are not insured = alot of **** if you **** up... It's a big risk with a machine that whispers you in the ear to rip that rear tire apart...
So, as far as i know, there's no way you can switch between mappings while riding, SO if you could "Kill Switch" the bike when having an accident, But the killswitch is permanent, untill you "decrypt" the switch.. maybe there is no way they could ever test if the bike is really 30 KW ish?
I know there are some threats about this BUT I didn't see this thought comming by anywhere..
I should legally spend 2 years on a 40hp 690.. but seriously I can't wait that long

Hope you guys could help me out a lil.
