...this is what I found under my clutch cover. Nasty! Should I still inspect my oil filter or is this enough clues to the source of my problems?

that much "mayonaise" would let me presume you have a coolant leak! check the long oil filter if its still pleated or starting to swell up...
what's the level under the rad cap?
is the rest in the engine this slimy?

Well... looks like that oil filter is indeed warped and deformed. I had just finished burping and refilling my rad last week after improperly flushing it (didn't raise the front wheel) but my overflow is totally empty and was touching up to the max line last time I checked.

So I guess this all points to a Water pump Overhaul? I.e. This job? (Water pump Overhaul)
Or... R&R? Same thing?

I would probably do the waterpump and seal/shaft replacement now while you're at it.

That looks like the baby, I got another grey seal, just incase. As a mate did his and split it on the shaft, as they can be sharp edged, from production. Mine was too, but smoothed it down with wet and dry. Now have a spare seal lol
