hi guys went out at weekend and kickstart was playing up, got back charged batt up and sitting at 12.7v.
start bike up and put multimeter on the battery and only producing 12.6v which I think is the battery voltage and not the rectifier, holding revs up and doesn't increase at all.
unplugged the 4 pin connector off the rectifier and checked it with bike running again with multimeter and other than one pin showing 12.6v again the rest did nothing.
should one of them be a lot higher coming from stator?
any ideas what to test?

The regulator is fed by ac. Put one meter probe on a good earth, put the other on yellow, should be more than 15 vac. Then try while, should have similar ac voltage. Normally the problem is the regulator connector goinf green inside, Chop it off and use 4 crimps.

Thanks pal we checked all wiring continuity today and found all ok but there was slight corrosion in the 4 pin plug but still ok to feed, we did as you said above and checked ac voltage to yellow headlight wire and have around 16-17v, did the same on the white charging wire and 2v at best.
Fairly certain it’s the stator that’s gone now I hope!

Oh also we tried a rectifier off another ktm we had and still the same issue so think it’s going to be the stator that’s gone!
