KTM has commenced the global recall of specific models from the 2015 model year, of which around 750 models from the UK and Ireland are affected.
Due to a supplier production fault, KTM is checking the torque setting of a nut between the fork’s piston rod and screw cap, within the 4CS fork chamber. This check can be carried out by authorised KTM dealers only. It takes about 25 minutes and is completely free of charge.
The fault generally occurs in the first few operating hours and is identified by a knocking sound from within the fork. In addition to this, the damping in the affected strut decreases.
The recall action affects the following models:
Six Days Enduro 2015 model year:
125 EXC Six Days
250 EXC Six Days
300 EXC Six Days
250 EXC-F Six Days
350 EXC Six Days
450 EXC Six Days
500 EXC Six Days

Cross Country (XC) 2015 model year
250 XC
300 XC
250 XC-F
350 XC-F

Customers who have taken delivery of a motorcycle affected by the recall will be contacted in writing by KTM UK.
Customers can check if their motorcycle is affected by contacting their local authorised KTM dealer and quoting the last 6 digits of their VIN (Vehicle Identification Number).
Customers can also check online to find out if their motorcycle is affected. The recall information is available in the “Service” area of KTM - Ready to Race and can be seen by entering the complete (17 digit) VIN and the motorcycle’s Delivery Certificate number, which is located on the upper right corner of their Delivery Certificate.
KTM UK very much regrets the resulting inconvenience concerning this recall but customer safety is of paramount importance.
