Evening all, this is my 1st post so apologies for any school boy errors.
I'm having trouble identifing the metal coloured pump thing and more specifically the black pipe coming from the right which ends up in the frame breast....tye pipe appears to be weeping oil...I think. Any ideas greatly appreciated

hi,
that pump thing is a a secondary air system to reduce emission. it is activated from the intake (also on the right just next to the carb rubber manifold) and allows air to go from the outside into the exhaust.

but that is not related to oil!

there is an oil plug on that side of the frame where you can top up after a full oil filter change (including the filter on the frame downtube), maybe that's weeping some oil.
or its from the decompression lever that's just visible in the background (lever with cable, just below the front rocker arm cover).

So it's a leaky right hand radiator, so I'm on the hunt for another. But thanks for the secondary air pump tip, I may as well take that off while I'm at it.
