Hello Peeps,

I'm headed back to Morocco in September for 10 days. I've just booked the bike to go with http://www.biketruck.com/ to Malaga. Dates are as per the website.

Anyone else up for this?
Open invite, plenty of spaces.

I have a route planned entering at Nador and going down the east side.

Billy's only posted one date on his website so far. He may well do another in October to coincide with the "Heroes Legends"
I just can't be bothered driving the European bit.

If you don't mind me saying that route looks good, but with what i can see above and the amount of off road, it looks rather optimistic to do all of that in 10 days, especially including the time on the ferry to and from Nador.

Hope you get better weather than October 08 when there was extensive flooding on the Rekkam and on the piste south of Merzouga.

Call me old fashioned but I still use a map for my navigating in addition to my Gps..... I too am off to morocco in October and i was looking at your route with interest. But when i was looking at it on my map (Michelin 742) I noticed some parts of it near the Algerian border appear to be on Prohibited roads.....on the map anyway. Are they prohibited on the ground, anyone been on them before?? Would hate to think of anyone enjoying a good bit of desert riding only to meet up with a bunch of gun totting border patrol Arabs looking for a bribe to let you on your way...

If you mean the "Piste" between Merzouga and M'Hamid then I've travelled on it twice without seeing any Army/Border Patrol.

As prompted by NN,

I've just been reviewing the route in google earth, It may be a bit of an exercise on a larger machine. (Especially the dunes at Chegga!!)

Oh well back to the drawing board.

Eric,

Many thanks for the offer of assistance, your routes have been invaluable for planning my own trip and thank you again for posting your routes around Morocco.
Do you have any plans on going back?

I must apologise for calling you Italian!! (First Post has now been updated)
