My son is riding the Natterjack later this month:) and you have to use a trials back tyre, i was wondering if people on here who have rode with one can recomend what make of trials tyre to use, as there are a few different makes and i would like to know what one would last and take the punishment the best.

I'm in the same boat, my son doing it to, and the advice offered by Glen4 is helpful. My only bugbear is what to do with the MT43 afterwards, not the best for H&H events and also not sure what size moouse we usually use.

The major plus is no punctures but do many riders use HD tubes in this event ?

What class is your son in Emmgeo ? My son Rhys has entered, Clubman 2T, doesnt usually do timecard events so looking forward to it. Wonder if the step will be in the special test ?

Pirelli MT43, run with a 140 moose wrapped in an old inner tube[/QUOT

After a lot of thinking i have decided to run a moose in the front wheel, and an MT43 on the rear with a Michelin ultra heavy duty tube 4mm thick filled with some Dr Sludge. Im thinking if my son does get a puncture he can always get back to the pits and fit another tube. I hope he dont get a puncture as i dont think he will talk to me for a while.

it's not the sort of going that gets many punctures, but the suspension will get a hammering !!! the sand whoops out really badly, so make sure that you are prepared for a bumpy ride..... I rode in in 1996, hated it and have never ridden it since, but many people hate riding in Wales, so 'what goes around'... etc.....
It will be well organised and run, the test will be in deep sand, so don't forget not to overlube the chain, and keep an eye on pads and bearings.
I'll be there helping on a check !!
