True to some extent. The freeride was fine once you'd removed the tank, which you had to do for everything. My TRS is amazing to work on compared to a beta trials bike. Probably the easiest bike I've worked on. The XT is very tight around the carb and shock.

I've got the bike ready to ride so I'm hoping actually riding it (it's been a pile of pieces for almost the whole time I've owned it) will bring back some love.

That said, I almost wanted to set fire to it today when I spilt petrol all over the bike, myself, and the garage because it's got an impossible to fill black tank.... I mean really.... A black fucking tank... 馃ぃ馃槀馃ぃ
X trainer has a small tank my mate has one and on the IOM rally he had to get someone meet up with him with fuel, everyone else coped without. I believe you can get a bigger tank for them maybe a clear one.
Here you go but not cheap IMS 11LT X-TRAINER TANK 2015-2022 - John Lee Motorcycles

Cheers, nice one. Yes, that's on the list but I'm going to ride it for a while now before I spank much more money on it. It's a project but I do think I would possibly have been better buying a 300 racing and lowering it.. I'm in to it for at least 10K now...馃槵馃槱馃ぃ

The idea was to craft the perfect extreme enduro bike (for me) - which means basically, a softer, lighter, lower 300.. only problem is it costs more than lowering a normal 300. I still think it will work out but I wasn't expecting these quality issues.

What about this then Lee? Just found another corker which I don't think is acceptable - the thread on the preload adjuster is mullered:

Again, brand new bike, been ridden once. Does this meet your definition of a warranty issue or is that just whinging?? Of course you don't adjust suspension but in case you don't know, most people consider sag to be quite important to the handling of the bike. This fucked thread means the sag cannot be properly adjusted.

Just thought I'd update on this - finally got around to sending the shock back with a letter explaining the witness marks etc. got a phone call just now with literally one sentence saying "We've sent the shock back to the factory and they're going to repair it". No conversation needed, just done... I'm very pleased and a little surprised with that. Good for Beta UK!

Hi Guys. I'm in the process of looking for a newer bike to buy. I am really struggling with so many choices at the moment. Any advice in helping me choose would be great.

I have a 7k budget.
Looking for the bike to be able to do a mixture of motocross and enduro but if being honest probably more enduro.
I'm 6ft 4" and 210lbs so a taller bike would be better.
I'm undecided on a 2 or 4 stroke. previous bikes have all been 2 stroke but had a few shots of a family members 350 sxf and actually liked it also.

I'm open to other brands of bikes also other than ktm.

Any advice on helping me make a decision ?

Thanks
I have a mint 300 17 6 days if you鈥檙e interested. Literally like new.
