hi guys im picking up my 2011 ktm450 exc this weekend wondered if there are any things i need to do or watch out for? thanks

Welcome to this the place of all things orange id watch out for 200's smoking past ya real fast like and fit a strong sump guard and thrash it from day one have fun

Loctite the kickstart screw, gearchange screw and sprocket nuts - tighten the nuts as tight as you can, dont torque the sprocket screws.

Remove the chain adjuster screws and apply copper grease.

Remove the sidestand screw and fit the short one that is in the plastic bag, use loctite on the screw if its not pre coated.

Put the spare sprockets, chain, indicators, mirrors etc somewhere safe ;)

Sorry to jump in on the thread but I have an 08 450, what is the score with the shorter screw on the sidestand Kev?
changes the guillotine action into a normal sidestand ie it stays out where you left it,and doesn't retract when it feels like it!
