I use lockwire. Make it so as you open the throttle the accelerator linkage moves at same time.

BUT

You need to do the other jetting and needle and setup mods too :)

Apart from the needle, main, pump jet and O-ring mod what other mods/setup needs to be done?

You need to remove carb and change the following to:

1. Main jet 175
2. Main needle OBETP
3. Leak Jet 50 or adjustable Boysen leak jet.

And do the O ring mod, do a search,

Then check you have approx 1second of fuel being injected into engine when opening throttle.

Also check you have an O ring on the Air/idle mixture jet.

I did all of the above after KIY told me to do, just that.

No bogging now.

No one can say for definate how many turns out. You set it at 1.5 then ride it to get it up to normal temperature, then you adjust it.

Adjust the idle as low as possible without stalling.

Slowly turn the screw in until the engine starts to slow down and then unscrew it 1/2 of a turn. The screw should be in the 1 to 2 turn range.

If less than 0.75 turn, the pilot is too big - install the next smaller size. If it is more than 2.25 turns the pilot jet is too small - install the next larger size.
