Just brought a new 250 2t today, and was wondering if I could use my 4t oil in it?

KTM say 15-50w and the oil I have is 10-60w, surely it must be ok, be nice if it was as I've got over 20litres of it and its motox fully synthetic!

I've jsut bought Silkolene Gear Oil to change my bike oil....it was £8.20
Says 'for use in 2T and other seperate gear box machines. SAE 75W-80, crankcase rating SAE 10W40'

Would 10W-40 be ok for transmission oil on a 2T? I've got a bit left over from my road bike
