Hi All

Regarding RF4 engine 2007 450 SX-F

Been reading about poor oil pressure and cam wear on KTMtalk

Now i have seen a lot of posts about people who have the dirt tricks CCT fitted and they have removed the oil supply to the tensioner to allow more pressure to the camshaft and cam followers...

Now my question is >

Is this bad for the engine as the tensioner will no longer be pushed to the right position due the lack of oil and spring pressure...?

obviously the tensioner has to be locate to keep the cam chain slack maintained... would the lack of oil not allow the CCT to ratchet to the correct position...?

Are the people who are running their engines like this running the risk of a cam chain death rattle...?
