ive been advised that if i remove the cat from the origional exhaust it will help with keeping the bike cool, will this have any affect when the bike needs an MOT or any other affect on the performance and is it advisable to do this..
thanks Neil

The cat is normally removed at PDI by your dealer, along with the throttle restrictor, air filter restrictor, SAS and pepperpot on the silencer

mine 09 450 was supplied with the cat still in
take your slip-on end can off, have a look in the conical section at the end of the header
if there's nothing in there that's good
if the cat's in there you just lever it out with a s/driver

it'll run more like it should with the cat in the bin.........:)
