I mistakenly purchased a Midwest Moutain Engineering stubby brake lever along with one of their clever clutch levers thinking I'd be able to fit it. I like stubby levers and would love to use this one if possible.
I didn't realise at the time that it does not have the tang on that will operate the front brake switch and this the brake light will be constantly on unless I either fabricate something to make the lever work or disconnect the switch and rely on the rear brake only to operate the brake light, which I don't want to do. Whilst pondering brake lights on a dirt bike, it occurred to me I could fit a pressure switch banjo bolt. Would it be simply a case of disconnecting the existing switch (presumably 2 wires) and connecting the pressure switch to these wires, or have I missed something fundamental?
