Thanks Paul. Out of interest, how did you overcome the recording of the existing mileage from the old clock on the new ones?

Hi Tim,
I didn't even try, but I have the original speedo as proof if I ever sell the beast. Will it be a problem for you at MOT time? MOT's for bikes don't yet exist over here, so no such problems...

It wouldn't be too hard to drive the new speedo on the table-top using a signal generator to simulate the input trigger. With the frequency set at the maximum speed accepted by the speedo (150mph??) you could clock up any mileage you want in an acceptable period. 5000 miles in 33 hours for example.

I'd be happy to do this for you if you want.

Cheers... Paul

"If you want more detail just shout."

Hi, I'm not that bothered about a tacho even though the conversion looks really neat, interested in the screen though.

Hello tinwelp, great project. Finished product looks good took.

Can you give me any info on the details of how you did it?

Did all of the functions still work? Low fuel light, coolant temp, etc...

Which model and year did you get your new clock from? I imagine it needs to come off a model without ABS.

Thanks in advance, thats an awesime project. My clock just died, so before I waste $ on another of the same type I want to do the kind of project you did.
