Now im a bit of a tight arse and im not paying for scottoil at £7 a bottle .
What other oil do you lot put in ? Whats the viscosity of the scottoil ?

I think i read somwere it was 80w..........which is what i have put in mine at the mo... still on test but seems too be working

been using it a couple off months but havnt been on the bike much...broken foot..if it drips out at a controlable rate i dont see there being a problem...i think auto transmission oil is ok

6732cash is right auto transmission is just the job. Any light oil will do, gear oil can be a bit heavy/stickey. Old engine oil as long as it's not full of crud will do as long as it's not too viscus, cut it down with trany oil. Gear chain oil for chainsaw's, etc, works too. You want a light oil that washes as well as lubricates.

Supermarket 20/50 or 10/40 or something from work ...... well any oil at all, really. Had long mileages from all my chains when using a scottoiler. (Never have had one that didn't leak from somewhere, though.)
