It was a right pain in the ass!!! Scrapped it and started again 7 times, it was like trying to do a jigsaw puzzle blind seen as its a bit of a one off

 

Did you make it yourself from scratch or is it abed frame made to fit?

 

I made it from scratch, the problem was with the van being a swb and the side door, if i made the bed at 6ft then you could not get in the side door so i made it at 5ft extendable to 6.5ft as a single bed so i can sleep with the bike in but it also all pulls out to a L shape plus a double bed that fills the van

 

I like the last picture. Bed made and parked up outside the pub, not much of a drinker myself but I can see how it would be appealing to some. Nice van.

 

Thats what it was all about, head of to events Friday afternoon find a nice wild camp spot or pub car park near the event then wake up Saturdays close by

My mate has a swb medium high transit, his made bunk beds that fold up into the bulk head, really good idea. sort of like this but a bunk not a single, take up minimal space and sleeps 2 easy. in a mwb you could fold the bed down and have bikes in.

This is a mates van, it's primarily a work van hence the diamond plate, bed height upwards is carpet, the bed is removable and bikes can fit underneith

 

Here's my Renault Master, great size for a conversion but mine is used more for recovery and transporting bikes, seen loads with the rear lift for sale.
