Just wondering if anyone is having a problem removing their fuel cap. The last couple of times I went to fill up, I've had a very difficult time removing the fuel cap. The key mechanism works fine but it seems the plastic part that turns on the bottom of the cap has swelled and is hard to get out of the tank opening. Thanks'

No problems with the mechanism in any weather so far - sounds like a warranty job, it is a cheap old cap / filler assembly after all. Having said that, I 've dislodged the overflow pipe a couple of times - which is a little worrying.

Doe's sound like a warranty job Dan, I don't have your problem but I do have a very stiff key mechanism.

I snapped a key before. Now, every once in a while, I take the fuel cap off and soak the whole thing (lock and plastic bottom bit) in ACF-50. No more problems now!!

Is ACF-50 just a WD40 or CRC like product or a special lock lubricant as I have not herd of it in OZ and mine is starting to play up
