Decided to change lever guards as didnt like the ones on bike.Only trouble is the right side one the expanding tubing is stuck solid and wont come out.Anyone any ideas thought about drilling them out but dont want to ruin handlebar.Just wondering if anyone else has had a similar problem and how you got around it

Have you tried putting the bolt back in, thread it in a few turns but leave it slack and give it a tap inwards? Should loosen the tapered nut from the end of the expanding tube so you can wiggle it out.

The tubing must have been a tight fit in the first place as tubing stuck pretty tight tried to pull them out with pliers but it just breaks bits of tubing off

are they the sock clipons? if they are then yeah youre going to need to break it out, if they're aftermarket and are open ended tubes then just knock it through.

Can you not find a longer bolt or threaded bar?

You want enough thread to go in but not expand the bushings to the inner sleeve. If you'd already got the other bar end out you'll see it cams off centre when the two pieces are tightened.

Then arrange a weighty socket or something to shock it free like a slide hammer.
