Having given up an RSV MilleR for the RC8 and persuading the wife it was an investment I kept the RC8 unfortunately not an original R but after a trip to BSD is much improved and an excellent fast road bike.

The GT I got to do some fast touring and hopefully go intoEurope next year with so happy to live with the limitations but wish it didn’t have electronic suspension and TPMS which has been a right bitch due to sensors over the last few months.

If someone could just do a couple of dongles and then we could fit the R suspension things would be alright, good luck on getting it sorted.

The suspension has several ecu,s controlling it.
So l don't think it's as simple as just unplugging it and putting a dongle in. I am sure it would have been done, if it was that simple

Absolutely love the RC8. Would love to have one, but hard to justify the expense for what would likely be an occasional Sunday toy. Keen to try the GT as a more realistic alternative.

Anyway. I don't really know how these electronic suspension systems work, but the forks and shock must be rebuildable? If so, it should be possible to change the springs and valving? Would be much cheaper than complete new shock and fork internals.
As mentioned above. Because the gt has several ecu,s for the suspension. If you mess with it internally. It will probably just set to default or throw a warning light up âš
People like myself, give up and move on.
I have stayed with the brand, but gone old school.

You need to tell the story of how to get a GT for free

Sounds like the factory setup is quite stiff then. Is anyone checking rider sag to see if spring rates are ok? Changing springs should be possible and could transform the bike if original springs are way out for your weight. And changing oil weight should also be easy if you knew which way to go.

There's gotta be things that can be done without breaking the bank. Did the problems exist before the 2019 software update? Did the update actually improve anything?

Do any forks and shocks from other models fit straight in? Older models without electronic suspension. I guess it might upset the dash if it can't "see" the suspension, but that might not be much of a problem.
I don't think you understand. If you change anything to do with the suspension, it will automatically set to default and try and compensate the things you have altered.
That's why people are searching for a suspension fix that isn't there
