Hi all,

I have a question about suspension:
The previous owner of my 250 EXC-F 09 was quite a large lad weighing in at about 15 stone. I way 10.5 stone and was wondering if I can adjust the suspension according to my weight?
The rear shock is adjusted "tight" from the top adjuster screw, the front forks are ok.

Any suggestions.

Thanks

Nick

Hope to see some of you on Sunday at North Farm.

The KTM manual will tell you what your static and rider sags should be. The 15 stone chap will have had it wound right down to achieve something like the right settings, but you will need it at the opposite end of the spring to have it feeling right - If you haven't got a manual, one of the lads on here will know what the settings should be on that bike. On my 450 the static sag should be around 35mm and the rider sag 90 - 105mm. If he has changed the spring for a heavier one (sounds unlikely) you may have to fit a standard one in. The preload on the shock shouldn't be any more than 10mm (according to my manual) and it sounds as though its way past that!.

good luck

Mike
