Not familiar with the engine, some motors have pulse coils in the stator, some electromagnetic pickups that speak to ECU….If you’re getting power to the coil but as soon as a draw is present it shuts off…that’s the problem….timed shut off to the coil gives you the spark….
Edit. Can’t get the 125 manual...but the 65sx uses pulse coils.....look for a small coil around/near the stator fly wheel. It will have a separate lead, not part of the stator coil pack but can be part of the assembly. Measure the resistance.
