I have a fan kit on my 2005 400 exc but the temperature switch has died. The switch is a FAE 36006 which as far as I can see in the FAE catalog does not exist.
does anyone know what the activation temperature is and the reset so I can try and find an alternative.
or does anyone know where to get one from other than a main dealer. I’m not paying ridiculous prices for a Temp switch.

I assume these are 14x1.5 metric thread

Fan Temp Cooling Switch 87C/82C M14 x 1.5 For Kit Car Track Rally | eBay

seen this recently. it's rated a few degrees lower though so fan will will kick in earlier.

what type o riding do you do. I do a lot slow stuff on a 525 & never had a fan fitted.
Hi
I fitted the fan about 4 years ago when we were doing a lot in wales and it must have been a particularly wet winter as I was getting bogged down a lot and had it boil up a few times. My trip to France last year had much the same issue and even in the very slow tree trails the fan comes on a bit. It’s also piece of mind .
May be you have more cooling on the 525 and certainly not needing to Rev as much due to the power you have.

Anyway I’ll have a look at your link
Many thanks
