1st post, be gentle!!
Nice sunny afternoon, bit of spare time, what better to do than re-aquaint self and 950SM with a bit of dry tarmac. Got that feel good factor, looking good, naturally its a KTM, err that does'nt feel right! Not much feel good factor now and looking pretty dejected on the hard shoulder with only the tickover to drown the noise of the gloating drivers.
OK so throttle cables snap, but its an 07 bike on an 08 plate, 8,000 miles, limit stop at each end on the twist grip so surely the f**kin thing should last longer than this!
Tried a search on the forum and it seems to happen fairly often. I did as others have done and got home on a 'fast' tickover, thankfully I hadn't got far.
Am I expecting too much?

Funnily enough I bought a spare throttle cable for my 950sm from Sideways
before this years German trip.

They told me it was the first one they'd ever sold.

I've limped home on tick-over on previous bikes,
the tick-over on my 750 honda could be wound up
so far I'd be sitting at traffic lights at 6,000rpm!:D

Welcome to the forum btw
