Hey guys,

Just noticed my TPI (300 2020) started leaking from the oil-tank.
I'm not sure if it could be the tank or some cuff/ related piece.

I realised of that when i washed the bike, I saw oil and sand (attached images).

I have read some different issues: broken cuffs/ damaged oil tank/ overfull oil level.....

Have someone faced the same issue?

Thanks in advance,
Best regards

This was a known issue on 18 models, never heard on a 19-22.
Might be just a small reparable crack somewhere?

I just have "generally" checked the oil-tank and i dont see any crack with the naked eye.

I think it could be this piece:

I have read that it usually cracks even with a few hours of use.

Poor quality plastic bit seem to be the new norm for Austrian bikes.

Yes....

What I don't know, it's if it will be necessary to dismantle the entire mechanism to replace the plastic

The parts diagramme may give you an idea how it all fits together.

Give everything a really good clean and run the bike on the road for a few miles to keep it clean. Then puff some talcum power or cornflour over the area and it will stick to any oily patches. This may show you where the leak is before you start taking it all apart.
