So i have been haunting around here for about two months. This thing brought me here :) I was gonna give up for now on bikes and put the money on the bmw you see in the background but then i realised how much fun i have had with my old kawasaki klr 650 and thought maybe its just time to swap it for something that suits me better. Well this ktm popped in to damaged vehicle auction, thought that i could propably get it for ok price (mild fire damage, propably been in burning house or something ) and currently i think i have paid all in all about 5200-5400€ (this includes stuff that wasnt needed for the repair like handgurads) for it and these go for around 8k+ here depending on mileage and so on so id say it was worth it, also has been fun repairing it, still need to get the clutch to disengage but im waiting for the parts. Its 2014 model with 6680km in clock and yes i did change to exc headlight, plz dont get mad at me :p But like said i still have some things to fix on it, after clutch works it should be in streetable condition, i have driven it little bit on asphalt and wow its just so much better suited for me than klr but ehh its only 30 years of difference between those bikes so tech shouldnt have moved up during that time.... or has it ? :)

Also i was kinda lucky with the speedo, looked bad until i took a closer look at it and noticed it had been only burnt on the skin. Took it apart and noticed that everything was still intact inside, plugged it into bike and bam i have every data i wanted out of the bike and that was, how many km does it really have which turned to be lower than the estimated. So i started to look for top part of the speedo and found one to be sold on ebay one day in Croatia. Sent message to the guy selling it and asked for the rpm needle and background of the speedo also if he happened to have them. He replied to me that i dont have those, BUT i can send you broken speedo if i have same one as you have, didnt hear about him after this when i sent him message. And for my little surprise when i got the package, he really sent me full speedo unit and thank god he did because i had to dremel the old one open like a sardine can, the plastic had wrapped around the base of the speedo so i guess once in my lifetime i was really lucky. I happened to score full plastic set even before the bike had come to my yard :D But as you can see i tried to keep my budget as tight as possible, will be doing some sort of graphics on the bike since my father has done car wraps etc for long part of his life and propably will replace the headlight with the newer exc or smc r one at some point.
