Dragged my 990 out of hibernation yesterday as there is a chance lock down could be easing soon.
Noticed to my own dismay that I had put her away last year in some what less that showroom condition, not dirty per se but certainly not up to my usual standard, rims coated in brake dust - I will lash myself with a birch later..
Hit the start button and she fired straight up and rumbled away nicely. Quick lights check and rear brake light not working. During investigation I burnt my finger on the exhaust so thought I'd better leave it until this morning.
Was looking online how much the rear brake hydraulic switches are - £40!
Anyway... after a bit of testing it turned out to be just a bad/corroded connection in the plug & socket. Should be easy to sort. It's the pin on the right, both will be polished and silicone greased soon. Other than that it's ready to go as soon as we are allowed, or I get a legitimate excuse to need to travel, which I'm working on.
