Asked once before long time ago butnever recieved a proper ansew,
thinking of converting my 2005 exc 300 to a supermoto trim so i can sell my lc4 to bikes costing me a bit so with the 300 still have my off roader but also a nice supermoto.

What size wheels would i need, do i need anything special to make the wheels fit,

Sprocket and chain dose it need to be differnt.

Any 2000 onwards 125 and bigger LC4, EXC, SX, SMR wheels will fit.

Duke, 690, 950 etc wont fit.

Wheels will be a straight swap. Brakes - you can stick with your exc set up, but they won't be up to much. Next step up would be LC4 320mm disc with an adapter for your stock caliper - better, but still not brilliant (ok for road use). You should be able to pick up a disc for £30ish (used) and caliper bracket for £30-35 (or cheaper if used). After that you're looking at spending a few quid for a complete set up. Chain and sprox depends on what gearing you're running now, you might need a different length chain.
If you've got an LC4 you can try swapping the wheels over - you will need to remove the spacers behind the discs and swap 1 spacer from the rear wheel.
