Has anyone got any hands-on experience running a WP pro shock on a PDS Bike?
Hows is it compared to stock?

Currently running a stock shock with K-tech bladder, low friction piston band, and K-tech revalve but wondering how well the XPLOR PRO 8946 shock will compare in comparison.

Yes it's expensive so let's try to keep the discussion solely on performance and feeling rather than the hit to your wallet :ROFLMAO:

Clubman level wobbler....
Shock; 21model Xplor Supertrax

What I noticed.
After hitting a stone/log/ant nests on a long hill climb the rear wheel seems to come down very quickly to the ground, therefore providing "continuous" traction. It seem the quick (rebound release??) it does exactly what is intended to do.

Other than the above, they provide better general comfort, less up and side-way kicking.

Only downside is the bike is taller than stock. (not sure to what % is down to rear and to what % down to the cone valve forks)

I’ve got one on my 15 300 with the old style mechanical rebound release via Trax springs in the base. Definitely works, tracks and drives well, doesn’t pump and skip on the power. Improvement over my stock PDS shock but could’ve been the higher grade components.

Are you having any issues with your setup (which sounds decent), or just fancy it (because why not, for it’s a good setup and looks cool)?

thanks for the response.
No problems with the current setup after the upgrades.

I have supplied a few shocks for people and fell in love with the visual look everytime i pop my head into the box :ROFLMAO:
originally I was going to get a 2023 bike but thinking ill just buy the shock now instead and throw a piston in it for another year of riding.

I had both. I had trax hybrid. Basically the better machined body and adjustment circuits but with the trax spring binned so no weak parts. Worked amazing. Made bumps and lumps disappear. I also had my 18 Xplor shock revalved and bladder kit. It was better on grass than the trax but very close indeed. Also simple to set up/adjust.

Would I invest in suspension on my next bike?Damn right I will if I can afford it. Safer. Comfier. More enjoyable rides. No surprises Other than eye watering cost. I wouldn’t bother if trail riding though as it’d make everything far to easy. Not really needed for mx either as it’s simple to make that suspension range work well enough.
