How do you find this bike compared to your previous one?

 

I've hardly ridden in Adz and don't wanr to sail past its scheduled first service while the dealers are shut so its only a first impressions view but straightaway the front end feels nailed on and sportsbike like , the engine and gearbox feel smoother, the riding position is still comfortable but more lent forward (which I prefer) and the overall level of finish feels more premium. Overall it's quite a step forwards in the right direction.

Yeah it looks fine on your GT but the one for the '20 SDR looks like meccano

 

Got my evotech stuff two weeks ago. Good quality but pricy. Aye not sure why the bullet connectors....

R&G went downhill years ago. I wouldn’t buy anything of their anymore. It’s crap quality and even though looks OK when new it degrades really quickly.

 

Hoggy I see you've got the comfort seat & pillion on, how do you find it? Can you post up a side on pic so I can see what it looks like fitted? Cheers

 

Felt fine for the hour and a bit long drive home when I picked it up but that’s all the time I have got out on the bike with this lurgy going about. Perfect biking weather the now too.

Will probably fit the pillion blanking plates once they have them available. Was thinking about getting PPF applied to the plastics to protect them as I plan on having this one for a while.

Will wire in some power for the GoPro today.

Hoping to get the Akra once someone has figured out a fix to get the indicators working today.

I'm sticking an Austin racing v3 mini can on mine once we've shelled out to have my wifes new Arai painted The akra is a cool bit of kit, personally I'd get it mapped by a specialist and bypass all the wierd stuuf the KTM downloaded map does - but for £2.5k all in I'd rather spend the money on a cheap track hack or green laner as I'd don't find the standard bikes performance (with lowergearing) lacking on the road

 

MacRR are you planning on getting side panniers ? Does KTM make anything for 2020 ?

 

Yes they do and yes I'm getting a set, can't be doing with messing about with aftermarket stuff, prices for aren't too bad with discounts either. Only this probably won't fit with tail tidy on so keeping the origianl mudguard and indicators in one piece so I can re-fit easily with panniers on.

 

Yeah places are doing 10% off some stuff just now and £460 all in for the bags and the brackets is a hit. Even worse you still need waterproof liners. Not keen on planners tbh. Will just use a bag on the back for euro trips as I have done. Just need a way to get it strapped now. Not sure if the mounting bolts for the panniers would give a good strapping down point for some rocstraps or maybe need to get something made up myself.

It's a Superduke without doubt and the engine feel is virtually identical to the mk2 but the front end is transformed and on any of the bikes I've owned thats been a big factor in how confident I've felt pushing it, so for me it isn't much of a muchness it's a significant step on in a number of areas.

 

Looks very nice!

evotech are ok , but a bastard to put together . I can never get my head around how much all tail tidys are , they are all a fookin rip off. I know , you pay how much for the bike and then moan about £200 . lol

I have the evotec tail tidy, fitted about a month back, everything fitted perfectly, the wiring colours didn't match also, so a bit of switching plugs around. Got there in the end. Looks gud too.

 

Yes, I didn’t read fitting instructions and wired it red to red and white to white and number plate light didn’t work.

 

I bought an Evotech tailtidy. Never bothered fitting it. Pisses my mates off. All a tailtidy does is draw peoples eyes away from chicken strips. . .

 

These "chicken strips" you refer to, are they catchy. Ive evaded Covid so far, id hate to come down with chicken strips.
