So why they sell it closed with the chain guide?
I guess there is a way to install it without using chain link removal to cut the chain otherwise I get it all wrong.
I have to say that this is the first time I see that new chain is sell closed with chain guide.

 

I guess with higher capacity bikes the chain is closed due to the engine power/torque. This in not a dirt bike but a street bike.

Its the only way it can be done. Its not difficult.

 

I never noticed it before but the chain runs outside of the frame on the 790/890 bikes.
Almost as if an endless chain could be taken off without needing to break it (or having to remove the swing arm).

So the only thing preventing that is a plastic guard?
If so the guard would get cut.

 

That's exactly what i was looking for, but i can't find it , I think there is a need to take off the left peg mount but I am not sure and can not find an instructions or a short video on you tube.

 

Prep bike stand with OEM chain and guide over before jacking up.Remove chain guards on swing arm and front sprocket. Remove lowest foot peg bolt & spacer. Rear wheel off. Sprockets off. Old chain off. New chain and sprockets on. No cutting required.
