Just run two then and don’t worry about seating on the bead, I never have and it’s been fine

They should be run opposite so using the valve hole as a rim lock position won't be as effective.

Unless you plan on using a very worn out 120 section mousse in a 140 section tyre you won't need 2 rim locks.

 

the talon wheels come pre drilled at 12 o'clock and 6 o'clock.
not like your usual couple of inch apart. i guess they do it for better balance

 

I have two sets, one is a fucked and split 120 mousse in a 140 tyre and has only one rimlock. It has spun before however that is a pretty extreme level of mousse and the rimlock was able to be tightened after (not sure if spinning loosened it or the loosening caused spinning). The other set have two rim locks and same 120/140 setup - the only difference is it’s harder to remove/install at new tyre time.

so I’d say not to bother.

However… If you are doing hard enduro and really do want two rim locks - your rims will get battered anyway (As per the rest of the bike) so I’d say drill the talons a few spokes away from a current hole for the valve and use a proper rim lock In both original holes.

I just cut the valve out of a standard inner tube to use to seat my mouses. Just leave an inch all around and it seals well.

 

If you’re worried about drilling your rims I wouldn’t do hard enduro then.
