Fancy it?. We only plod around, some great lanes too.

 

I've only ridden once so far on the road, then it went in for the suspension work. It has 5 maps included, and you can edit any of those to make new ones. The standard map makes the bike very smooth, and it just seems fuller, more meaty throughout the range, richer, perhaps? First impressions are very positive. We should organise a trail ride somewhere. You can try it for yourself.

 

We have a good days laning in Hampshire, when the weather improves I’ll get in touch, we’ll have a Sunday bimble.😁

Problem solved, I had fried the regulator. I swapped out the one from my 250 and everything works as it should. That will teach me not to watch YouTube videos

Thanks to @diplo and @Ship for their advice.

 

Put the original ECU back in and see if everything works correctly again. If it does, speak to GET. If you get the same problems, you can be sure it's something other than the ECU.

Could it be worn wires that have rubbed are already touching in the loom? It doesn’t make sense you are getting a reaction just be touching one pin.

Did it say about disconnecting battery first?

 

Clutching at straws now, but if you connect the other pin first ........ does same happen?

I would connect as per the instruction .....

 

What happens if you actually connect the 2 pins as per instruction?

 

Haven't tried that yet. The sounf it made with one pin made me feel something wasn't right. I'm wondering if it'd stuck in a cycle and something needs to be reset.

 

Understood that you only connected the 1 pin (and didnt ground it or anything) so l agree that it makes no sense that it is doing as you say ...... because just connecting one end of short wire shouldnt do anything .......

 

I've swapped the relays and they are OK. I only just touched one pin of the diagnostic plug and it started the fuel pump, which doesn't make any sense. Now it will only start but touching that one single pin again?

 

Did you select the correct 2 positions on the plug?

I would try swapping the relay that was clicking for another (matching ine in 250?)

It shouldnt have done anything by just putting a wire in one port and it not being connected to anything else .........

Starter button wiring all good? Nothing else been disturbed?

 

No, The wire didn't ground, it was very short. I checked the fuses under the seat and they are ok. Are there any other fuses to check?

 

Did the test wire ground out at all?

Check all the fuses.
