Nitro mousse, Mefo any good?

I have the Tour of Mann Rally in a few weeks which is quite rocky, last year on my 950 I killed a front mousse on the first day fitted another mousse for day 2 and that was past its best at the end of day 2. From memory I think these were WinX mousses which I had always found good before in fact I think these were full price well in date mousses the ones I had before that lasted were cheap (£60) but almost at there sell by date:rolleyes:

This year due to my knee still being dodgy I am sticking to a lighter enduro bike but not sure what mousses to get, Has any one tried these new Nitro mousses yet? Any good? not bothered about this "feel" many talk about just want them to last a while so that rules michelin out. Also being intending to try the Mefo but not got round to it yet, are they any good?

There is also the Pirelli/Metzeler mousse but you do not seem to hear much about them in the UK.

I wouldn't buy a nitro mousse my mate had to cable tie his tyre on at d2d despite his mousse being a few months old.
I ended up giving him my 18 month old Michelin as I wanted to put a new one in .
The Michelin was still in a good condition when we pulled it out .
Buy yourself a rabaconda and clean and relube the mousse if you have the time to make it last longer.
The outlay is quite a bit more than going cheap but at least you won't be running cable ties or trying to get your money back like he is.
